Default Loose Seat

There were no screws under the base of the chair, however, I did use a livestrong bracelet as a gasket between the two parts and that does the trick for now. It appears there's supposed to be a black plactic piece that fits around the pole of the chair to hold it in tight.

Hi sweetness34, that's cool, doesn't Livestrong bracelet = thick riubberband?

Anyway, were you referring to the base right under the seat or the base bolted to the floor. as I was referring to the base bolted to the floor.

It sounds like you were having trouble with the seat pedestal at the top of the post. If that's the case, the top of the post should have an upside down plastic cup which fits on the top of the post and inside of the seat's pedestal/base (click here to see what the this cup looks like, post #6). See if there is any labels on the seat post to indicate the manufacture. Ours was made by Springfield, so that's where I got our new ones.

If yours is from Garelick, read this thread, click here.

    Good luck,
    WetWilly
