Unhappy Re: Boating season winding down

Not thinking about 'the end' yet. However: this season has taken it's toll on the boat:

    1. Cpt's chair driver's side is wobbly (not on the floor, but the seatback)
    2. One of the two latches on the centre windscreen broken, + window rubber is loose
    3. Both side window adjustable latches need replacing
    4. Rear speakers need checking, sounds like they have been overloaded however, I'm hoping faulty wiring)
    5. Missing the flagpole
    6. I want to completely strip all old anti-fauling off and apply a new coat...
    7. Gas handle fixing screws do not have anything to screw into anymore, keep popping out.
    8. polish.......

    Hi Shabah203,

Sounds like you really got some good use out of your Shabah this season...

As for some of your issues:

Recommend you see an auto-body shop experienced with fiberglass repair, they should be able to resolve the seat issue before it cracks or breaks.

The latches are available online from West Marine or most boating supplies, they're made by "Talyor Made"(click here). The rubber should be available at the same stores too.

I recommend trying using JB-wield to refill the holes then re-drill for the screws. I would apply tape to the outside of the hul and apply the JB-wield from the inside giving it more surface to attach to and to prevent it from pulling through.

In Texas, boating season can go until December! Besides, these lakes do not freeze anyway.

I couldn't agree with you more Provo, I never quit boating all year long but hate rubbing it in on every one else. Its good to be in Florida except for all the dam hurricanes

... and some of the trees are beginning to turn where I am.

However, we still managed to get in a sunset cruise last night.
