Wine colored gelcoat?

I have a customer with a 1996 Mariah that needs some gelcoat repair and I'm trying to come up with the name of the color for his boat - so I can order a (close) match to work with.

The boat is a dark burgandy color (brownish red). For that year, there was a "Rose" color and a "Wine" color. The "Wine" was referred to as "the new wine" by the guy at MiniCraft.

I'm leaning towards the "Wine", though I don't need a $100 quart of gelcoat that I can use.

Any input regarding the (possible) name of this boats burgandy color would be greatly appreciated.

Sea Fox was no help.
Spectrum couldn't help.

Hello, I think mine is also "wine" but I have sent the hull number to Minicraft for ID. I only need a little for some small repairs. Where are you located, maybe we can split some.

There was also a "Ruby" for 95-98 (RT643 minicraft), which is what color mine is.

Hello infinityyachtservices,

In '96, the only red listed in the Mariah Brochure was a "Ruby" which was a deep red but not dark (click here and here for pictures of the '96 "Ruby" red).

Now in '95 there were three hull reds listed, one was again "Ruby", the next was a darker one called" Wine" and a third optional color called "Rose".

Then in '97 there were two reds, "Ruby" and a bright red called "Viper Red".

Any pictures you can add to this post of your clients Mariah would help us greatly in helping you determine the correct color.

i have a 1996 shaba 200 limited edition that is entirley maroon/red. have not seen another like it yet
