Default New swimplatform 2000 shabah 222

Please feel free to move this to another thread if you need to. I did a search for swimplatforms and it came up with several threads and I didn't know where to put it.
In any case, I just had the platform installed last week. It arrived the week before but my local shop couldn't install it until last week. Turn around time was less than 10 business days including shipping. I worked with my local shop to get color matches done because swimplatforms.com did not have the colors on file. I sent the paint samples to them so they should now have them in there database. (sable and Ivory) The company was great to work with and the product looks great. I am attaching some pics.

looks great! Is the top of the platform textured? I can't tell by the pics. All in all, how much were you out for everything?

Yeah, The original ladder will be going away this week. My shop didn't have time to pull it off and fill and color match the holes last week. The swim platform is textured and has a good amount of grip. I was on the platform yesterday in open water feeding skis out to a friend. There were 2 other boats that showed up in the cove wakevsurfing, throwing off killer waves. Needles to say the boat was bobbing pretty good and I was able to keep my grip on the platform. Also, when big waves go under the platform the trapped air and water escapes through the handle/ air vent you see in the middle of the platform. With those huge waves at lest three times water and air would shoot up about 8 feet soaking me and anyone in the back of the boat. (think about a whale and it's blowhole.... kinda like that) haha. The toal price with professional installation was just over 2,100. The local shop took 4 man hours for the installation so that took up just over 300 dollars. You can get it cheaper as the base cost was around 1500 with shipping, but I added two tone color which adds a bit to the cost. Also, included in that price was around 80 dollars for my local shop to come up with the 2 paint samples. I am glad I went ahead and got it. With my younger nieces and nephews out, I was always having to remind them if they were going to jump off the boat they needed to go off the side so they didn't land on the outdrive. Now there is no physical way they can hit it. Now we can also sit on the platform with our feet and legs in the water. My brother and 2 sisters were sitting on it yesterday and it seems very sturdy even with only 2 supports.

blockp::::: I ordered it from swimplatforms.com, and had it installed locally.

Here are a couple pics of the texture. I don't know why they came out so blue and dark in color. My iphone must be freaking out in the bright light of the day.

WOW, nice swim platform. That has to be the nicest looking one I've seen on a Mariah. Good call on the 2 tone color. I have to agree, it looks OEM. How is it for climbing out of the water. Is the grab handles ok for say a 10 year old?

I have 7 and 8 year old nieces and nephews and they are able to barely reach the handle /vent in the new platform. Your 10 year old shouldn't have a problem.
