Default Front Running Lights don't work

Hi guys,
I just bought a 1995 Z202 Shabah and I am having troubles with the front running lights. The nob that turns them on just spins. It acts like it is not catching the switch. The rear running light nob works, it turns a quarter of a turn to the left, and stops. Any thoughts?

Hi bnussbaum and welcome to the club!

Not sure what I'm reading but it sounds like your indicating that there are 2 different switches for your lights. Which lights are you talking about on the front, the little red/green nav light or the two white docking lights on the bow?

The front docking lights should be on a rocker switch while the knob that turns on the rear running light (anchor light?) by going left is the same one that turns on the front nav, dash and rear anchor lights together. You should be able to turn the knob to the right of center for the nav, dash and rear anchor lights and left for just the rear anchor light. The knob that just spins, is that right next to the rear light knob? If so, it might be the dimmer switch and either the heat shrink tubing is worn out or the rheostat is broken

You should have a three position switch.... (center is off)

Sounds like the switch just spins and has 'zero' positions. If this is correct let us know and we'll post the url to replace the knob.

Thanks for the help Guys. Yes the Red and green running light on the front did not work. Didn't think to try turning it to the right! Any ideas what the second knob to the right of it is?

WW hit it right. It's probably the dimmer switch.

Our Mariah's are the same year. The two knobs control the lights/dash lights on the left - three way switch. On the right is a rheostat (dimmer) that is inoperable.

Wetwilly is trying to source the rheostat if I ever remember to take it off and ship it to him.
