The plastic ones are very hard to come by, and are all susceptible to the cracking you mentioned, because they're not strong enough to support the weight of newer stereos. The only option you have is either having your existing one repaired by a plastic fabrication shop, or going a different route.
There's a template (Randy Jobe) one of our members designed, and you can have it fabricated at a metal shop. This is a much more durable alternative. A few of our members have done that, and it's probably worth it to spend the extra money if you plan on keeping the boat for a while. You can search for "bezel" and you'll find the info you need.
