Mooring Cover
I just took the shrinkwrap off my 1992 2000 Z and found the mooring cover, rolled up in a ball under the bow cushions.
I put it on and there are several stains on it. I was able to scrub it some, but the stains remain for the most part.
Is there anything I can use to clean it that might help remove the stains or am I stuck?
I plan to use a spray waterseal on it just to help, it still beads water for the most part, but I figured a quick covering of some waterseal can't hurt.
Also, I just realized that my mooring cover, which is the only one I have with the boat, does not have holes for the cleats, which means I can't tie up to the dock AND cover the boat....I can do one or the other.
I am planning to have a local shop cut out holes for the cleats and reinforce the edges to prevent tearing. I am also going to have them give me an estimate for an entire new cover, possibly for next year, since there are a few weak spots and a couple small holes in it.
Any other ideas to cover my boat with something less than a full mooring cover, or am I pretty much stuck with cutting cleat holes in the cover?
Thanks,
Patrick
