Default Side Panel removel

FINALLY, some nice weather here in Michigan! It's getting close to putting the boat in the water, I'm going to uncover it today and tinker around. Question, last fall I pulled up the old carpet and fixed some floor problem's and just re-did the whole floor. When we did it we didn't pull out the side panels only the seats and back bench seat, we just cut the carpet along the side's and took it out. It was too cold to put new carpet in so now that it's warming up we can get it done. My brother want's to pull the side panel's out and i'm not to crazy about it, I'm afraid if we get them out once we put them back in we'll lose the integrity of the screw's and they'll be loose or come loose. I figure when we cut the carpet leave excess on the sides and just tuck it under the bottom of the sides. Sorry for so long! so does anyone know how or has taken the side panels out or am I crazy to try? I have taken picture's of the process and when done I'll post them. Thanks Guy's have a awesome weekend!! 1993 1900Z

I just got done looking the panels over real good and I don't think they come out. Most of it is molded fiberglass from the top the down and I'm going to do what I originally wanted to do, just run the glue up to the panel and tuck the rest under should be fine. Pray for WARM weather!!

That's probably the best idea. You will lose structural integrity once you remove and reinstall the screws. Run the glue up to the edge and tuck under the excess. Good luck with it, and we're all praying for warmer weather!
