Default Stripes back on

Had a local shop install the stripes back on my Mariah. The stripes had been removed by the previous owner, but I could faintly see where they were. Between the slight shadows left from the originals and some pictures I found, they are pretty close to stock and for $100.00 a side it didn't seem too bad.

He also redid the Mariah lettering. I was missing the round M from one side so I just did away with those for now. If I ever locate the emblems I will put them back on. Some before and after.

Looks good! I am sure we all have a few dings in our striping, I know I would not mind getting mine redone but my Shabah is a little more complicated. Anyone else checked into this?

    Hi rpeterson,

    That looks awesome!!

Did he include any kind of warranty in-case of peeling or fading?

As for the Mariah lettering, are they done on chrome backing between the black border and the red coloring, can't tell from the picture.

    Thanks,
    WetWilly

It is chrome between the the red and black, looks identical to my old ones.

There is no warrenty that I know of, only the usual, keep it covered when possible, but he is a good guy and I'm sure if I had a problem he would fix it. His business is just down the street from my house. My deal was I got quotes from $1200 and higher to paint them on and that was too much for me.

Geez, at that price, I might just have to bring our Z240 down there for some stripping work as ours got is pretty banged up the last tile we took her out. Do you mind if I ask how long did it take him from start to finish?

One last thing, would you mind asking him what he would charge for a set of the Mariah lettering in dark navy blue instead of red. Ours are kinda looking worn out and I believe they're the same size as yours (approximately 3" high and 3 1/4 wide).

    Thanks,
    WetWilly

Yep, my letters looked about the same as yours. I will ask how much for the Mariah as he did mine along with the stripes. I am going to have him redo my pinstripes sometime so I will ask then. As far as time, the cutting and installing was one day but it was a couple of weeks before he called that he was ready.

hmmm, I will have to check back on this thread.

If you could find out how easy (hard) they are to apply and install it would be appreciated. Mine are in alright shape. There is the minor sun wear and scrapes etc. But if needed, it would be nice to have a source of these decals if they needed to be replaced in the future.

How about getting a Name / Contact / Phone # and posting it up in the Mariah Parts listing thread ???
