Default New Boat Owner

Hi All, I'm new to boats. Been on boats. I absolutely LOVE being on the water and live near a beautiful lake. We have friends with boats.

We've been discussing it for years but never actually pulled the trigger. Finally decided enough was enough and decided to get a little starter boat and pay it in cash.

We stumbled upon a 1994 Mariah Barchetta Z 192. New outdrive and trim motor this year. 4.3L Mercruiser. 180hp (is what he told us).

Comes with cover and new Bimini top (last year)

Gentleman said his parents bought it from original owners who bought it new. His parents got a bit old and used it less and less so it was gifted to him. He and his wife only used it 6 times last year and just didn't get enough use out of it.

Overall, with a little elbow grease we think we can get her in better shape. The interior is just ok - the vinyl is ripped along seams a bit and the open bow seats have holes - need to be reupholstered.

OR is there a way to buy original Mariah replacement seats?

Thanks in advance!

If you do a little research, you'll soon find that most parts (ie glass, seats, trim pieces etc) for these boats are difficult to come by and only available in the used market. Your best bet is to find a marine upholstery shop near you and have them do the work. It wont be cheap but it will look 100% better when done.
