Default Driver's power seat - no power

Hello all -

I'm going down the checklist (thanks again Chris!) of problems that my 00' Z278 has, and pretty much everything is taken care of except for some power issues I'm having w/ the drivers seat. The power actuator under the seat tests good, however I'm not getting any power at the switch. I checked all the fuses behind the helm and everything looks good.... Anybody had any similar problems to this? Is there another fuse panel located somewhere in the boat that I'm missing? All of the breakers seem to be fine as well...

Thanks again in advance for all of your help...
Todd

Todd, I'd check the connections at the switch. Which could prove to be a bit difficult, with your cabin layout, but that'd be the next place I'd look. One of the wires could have worked itself loose, or it could be our old friend, Corrosion taking action on some of the connections at the switch. You've got the wiring diagrams in the manual, so that should help locate which wires to look for. There shouldn't be any additional fuses for it, but there's only a limited number of things it could be. Start there, and keep us updated, we'll try and walk you through all the options.

    Tvacek,
I was having similar electrical problems. Mariah used small inserted spades in the back of the switches for multiple connections to the same switch. These spades sometimes break. I found several that were cracked. I ck'd with jumpers to power and ground and found I could make the switch work. The spades are available at local hardware stores. They look like a 'Y'.

Great point Steve! I forgot to mention about the spades.
