Default Electric plug?

I found this plug on the back of my Z202 I bout last month. I tried to chase down the wires on the lake but could not find what it was connected to. it is on the starboard side of the stern.

It's a plug for your "battery maintainer" so you can charge your battery with 110v, if you are on the trailer with access to electric, or in a marina.

That is what I was thinking but I did not find an inverter.

I can see me plugging it into 120 when it wasn't meant to and blowing my entire electrical. Lol. It has been that kind of new boat owner type of year.

No, the plug is hardwired into the battery maintainer (it was made by Professional Mariner - aka ProMariner and called the Batt Sav'r back in the day). It will be mounted to one of the walls in your engine bay, and it's hardwired into your battery. It's a black box, about the size of your average "wall wart" plug.

There's no chance of you frying any of your electronics by using it.

Just food for thought. Plug it up from a GFI receptacle for just in case.

This may not apply to you but I discovered on mine, when I plug to shore power at home,it trips my GFI's. It may be a load issue but I doubt it. I plan to hook my megger up and check for a faultbut it's not an issue right now. As you've surely noticed, I've been through the boat with a fine tooth comb and haven't found any issues.
Hell, now I'm starting to worry about it vause I'm talking about it !!
    Hudson Steve...any ideas?
Hey Firestone, let me know if your GFI trips please. I plugged mine into two different recept and both tripped. It doesn't trip the one's at the different marina's we've slipped over night.
I prolly should start a thread...

Mine used to trip as well. Had to replace all the outlets, they were badly rusted. Then again my boat has lived it's whole life in salt water.
