Default 1999 182s Fuel Injected or Carburetor?

Looking at one that has a carburetor. Saw a 1995 225 with EFI, Shouldn't the '99 have fuel injection? Which boat is correct? Thanks for the insight.

    I think it just depends. I've got a 1998 202 with the 305 carb. I would love to have EFI.....and a 350....and another 2 feet. And....and...and....

The engine decision (EFI/MPI/Carb) is up to the original purchaser of the boat. EFI/MPI engines usually cost a bit more, so people opted for the carb'd models to stay within their budgets. There's really no "correct" configuration, they both work well, it's just a personal choice.
