grease fittings alpha one gen one
what purpose does this grease fitting at the top of the alpha one gen one serve? i grease it twice a year, last weekend while i had the boat out, it became very hard to steer. when i took the boat out, i hooked the muffs to the boat and ran it to make sure the power steering wasn't failing and it is not. i pumped about 1/2 tube of marine grease into this fitting, worked the outdrive back and forth for 5 mins and the steering was back to normal. is this something i should be concerned with , or just put more grease into this fitting more often?
