Default Engine mounts

What secures the bolts of the engine mounts to the boat? I was working on my 1990 2000Z and I noticed the right engine mount bolts were loose so I attempted to tighten them and they just spun. They did take some effort to turn but they didn't tighten up. I tried to get the engine to move but it is solid. We used the boat all last season and it was like this and I never noticed. I am open to suggestions as to how to tighten the bolts. I cannot pull the engine myself and I would really like to avoid a expensive shop.uploadfromtaptalk1400306482809.jpg

    Lag Bolts hold it Jet.
The bolts get rusty from corrosion and start loosening up
Then they start pulling with the stress of the motor and waves and strip out.

I used Marine Tex on my old VIP boat and it worked great.

Just pull the bolts out of the mounts , use a screwdriver to scrape the walls of the hole , vacuum out the debris.
Then fill the holes with the Marine Tex.
I used a large straw and a nipple from a tube of silicone on a small bottle , then squirted it into the holes.
Fill from the bottom of the hole up.
Let cure for at least the recommended 72 hrs , then drill for lag bolts.
I thought about installing the bolts in the "wet" Marine Tex ,then letting it setup together.
    Might work , not sure.
