Default engine swap

I have Mariah SX19 with 5.liter 305 and looking for another engine. Can I swap it with a 5.7 liter 350 and use the same exhaust manifold on it or do I have to get a complete drop in package?

thanks for your info. I found a mechanic to help me find and install new motor and cant wait to get it back in the water. I have a 17 foot 1988 cris craft that is still fun to use and will put it back up for sale when the Mariah is ready to go.

I just bought a 2007 SX25 , but now I'm in the same "boat", I got 3 hours in it and the engine is horribly knocking and then stalled. WTF I finally got to it and got it back running, doesn't sound good. I'm going to do a compression test on it tonight. I'm fearing the worst. However, getting ahead of myself, I'm wondering if a rebuild is worth it or just put a new 350 in it.

Did you have to flash the computer or change the fuel pump?

sounds to me that you may have some bad gas with water or old fuel. I have taken my fuel pump out and cleaned it up before and it needed it. compression test should tell it engine is sound. Bad or fouled plugs could also add to knock.
