I have spent the day chasing a starting problem in my 1996 Shabah. I have power to both solenoids but no spark to the engine. I pulled one or the spark plugs and visibly saw no spark. Can someone help and as what to do next?

Size of boat/engine? Some general ideas, simplest first - Kill switch/lanyard installed and functioning? Coil wire not pulled loose (or signal/ground wire if HEI type cap)? Does the tach move when engine is cranking? You say power to both solenoids, I can assume you have power on the "start" post when cranking?

That is correct. I have power to the coil when I try and start the boat. If the kill switch was bypassed wrong, would the boat crank at all? The engine is a 5.7 in a 1996 shabah.
