Re: 96 shabah 180
I'd be careful messing with carb adjustments unless you know what you're doing! You could make it worse. You say after you stop for awhile and that doesn't describe how long. If it's just a short time, 10-15 minutes you might be overheating and the engine is still too hot-check your temps when running before you stop to make sure that isn't the problem. Engines are almost always harder to start after running hard and shutting off for a brief time and attempting to start them again.
If it starts okay when it's cold then your choke adjustment is okay. Take off the spark arrester and see what the choke plate looks like before starting. It should be closed-horizontal. Put the arrester back on, run the engine until it's warm, shut it off and take the arrester off and the plate should be vertical. If that's what it looks like, the choke is okay.
Sometimes coils act up when hot also-this is something you should probably have a mechanic check out if you're not used to working on engines. We've only had our Talari for a year, so this is new to me. I did a lot of messing with cars in the old days when we had carburetors, points and other mechanical parts to engines instead of all the electronics we now have-it's much better now!!
