Hello I am a Mariah owner my first I love it even though its an oldie, its a 1993 shabah. I do have one question did they come with gear lube bottles for the lower unit? or is this something that is after market? I was told it was in the engine compartment but I dont see it.

Your Mariah is right in the change over area. Late 1992 or early 1993 they started adding the Drive Oil Reservoir.
What is the number on your drive ?
The old Mariahs are just as good as the newer ones savage.

I can not find a commitment serial number where the reservoir became "std issue".
It looks as though they were a option for the 1991-up Gen 2 drives(round reservoir)according to mercruiserparts.com. But , I know they were std on the 1996 - up drives(square reservoir).
Sorry I can't pinpoint it for you , but I'll keep researching.
