I am not currently a Mariah owner, but hope to be one soon. I found a listing for a 2001 Mariah Diablo 20' on craigslist-Minneapolis. I am very interested but I'm skepticle on the length as I can only find that the Diablo was 18'. Before I invest the time to go look at this boat, can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as a 20' diablo. The owner assures me this dimension is accurrate and that it is a "Diablo 200" with the 200 indicating 20'.

Hi Husker fan....Unfortunately we dont have a 2001 Mariah brochure in our collection as yet but i dont remember seeing any Diablo's after about 1998 but i could be wrong there. Ask the vendor to send you a pic showing the US Coast Guard plate showing the model. If it's a 20 ft boat it will show as "20 I/O". The plate is usually located right near the throttle. Ask him for the serial # also. I believe they all begin "MAB... and the last 2 digits will tell you what year the boat is. Is there pics in the advertisement? If not ask for a couple of overall pics.

Correct if I'am wrong..... but wasnt there another user on here, possibly in the for sale section about a 2001 Diablo ? I know I remember Google searching that make / year model etc.

Definately get some photos of the USCG plate and the HIN number on the transom to verify. Then, take it out for a water test and have it inspected by a qualified marine mechanic. Inspect the hull and if everything checks out..... buy it!
