I have a '96 Z240 talari. The depth finder is not working properly. Do you know where the transducer is located, where I should place a replacement - available from Overtons as a transom mount - or 'in-hull' if I can reach the old one.

This is a fairly common problem, it's been brought up many times on the forum. I'd be willing to bet there's nothing wrong with your transducer, it's just come unmounted from the epoxy in the hull. The transducer is a round black "hockey puck" under the engine. If you can locate it, and it moves around, that's your problem. You'll just need to get some SLOW CURE epoxy (not the 5 minute type), sand down the existing stuff, and remount it.
