Hey Im new to Mariah, although have been an admirer of their boats for years. Excited to finally almost pull the trigger and buy a used one.

I'm looking at a 1998 z212 Shabah. Does anyone have experience on this year and model? There doesn't seem to be much info out there for this combination. I confirmed the HIN is for a 98.

Mariahs are fairly consistent for their quality & performance throughout the range of models over the years so there really isn't any particular model that you might want to avoid. My suggestion would be to check & make sure all of the electricals work properly particularly the trim gauge because if you have to replace the trim sensor it means removing the outdrive. Unlike one of our members, get the boat on the water to see how it performs and ask for maintenance records to ensure it was properly winterized. The overall condition of the interior, motor & the bilge area should tell you whether its been maintained reasonably well. Interior trim parts and glass can be somewhat difficult to find for the original Mariahs but just about everything else is still available somewhere in the marketplace.

I bit the bullet and bought a 1998 Z212 Shabah with a 350 MAG and Alpha I out drive with 21degree SS pitch prop. I cant wait to get it out on the water!

Now comes theBIG question, does anyone have any idea where to find out details and specs on this boat as its not listed in the 1998 brochure and the 1999 brouchres say the reintroduced them. My only guess is that it was released sometime during the 1998 season as a late season model. Do I have a rare beast? Its definitely a 1998 based in HIN, dash, and Mariah specific Prestige trailer. Any help or details on why I cant find anything would be great!
