Default New To Me - 1999 Z258 Shabah

I put a deposit down on a 1999 Z258 Shabah a couple of days ago. If all goes well this Saturday during the sea trials, I will be bringing her home.

The boat has the 7.4LMPI Bravo III. Any known issues to look out for on this model boat?

The boat does not come with a trailer. I will need to purchase one this week. Any good sources for new\used trailers in the upstate NY area? I have no issues traveling to get a trailer, withing in a few hours drive.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Congrats! Hope everything works out well with the sea trial.

My boat didn't come with a trailer when I bought it back in '06. It was sure going to be a long ride back to Cincinnati from Baltimore without a trailer... So I asked the marina I was buying it from to locate one for me. Most marinas can locate a trailer for you, and they know all the manufacturers nearby. The marina I bought from recommended Venture Trailers, who were made locally in Baltimore. They got me the price, and in three weeks, my boat was sitting on top of a brand new trailer ready to be transported back home. You could also look for used trailers, but you definitely want to test fit the boat and make sure none of the bunks are interfering with the strakes in the hull.

Yes congratz I bought mine with whats left of a trailer good thing I didn't wreck it hauling it out he/they only said it needed brakes and my truck is rated to haul like 25000lbs so I wasn't worried about braes that much but now I find the cross members are all rotted out (rusted out). A tri axle up here for this boat seems to be around 9k plus I am checking with Pheonix trailers in Mi. on thier triple as they make trailers for Cobalt so they must be decent I hope.
