Default 95 Talari Z240 Throttle Issues

Hi all, we are proud new owners of a very well kept Mariah (which one would expect). We are having trouble with the throttle control staying in neutral after disengaging during start up. I would like to update the control with a new aftermarket model. It currently has the quicksliver 3000 assembly with a bravo 3 outdrive. Any suggestions.
