Default 2001 JulibeeDB

Hi, I have a family member offering me the opportunity to purchase either a 214 of 215 Jubilee. He doesn't return from Florida until mid April so I can't check it out to determine the actual model until then.

Here's what I know...the boat purchased in 01, Chicago boat show, and has rarely been used, it has 68 hours on it. It's a dual prop (bravo ?)In the summer months, it always looked good on the hoist and almost never made it into the water. The boat was winterized yearly and has spent the off season months in his garage.

Needless to say, the boat aesthetically is in great shape with one exception. The yellow finish has the appearance of being oxidized. My uncle tells me the color was a special option for the boat? My guess, the darn sun reeked havoc on the finish! Can the color be restored to its original luster through polishing or are other more expensive measures required?

Can anyone tell me the differnce between models 214 and 215.

I tried researching the net (E-bay & Craigs list), without much success, in order to determine a fair $ value to offer, I can't even find any images of a DB boat. The only resource that I can glean any info from is NADA. It suggests an average retail of $11800 before adding any up ticks for engine and options

There are a couple yellow '01 245s in the gallery.
A 'hard buff' will probably bring the shine back. Someone else with experience might chime in but from what I've read there are products on the market that yield some impressive results.

Here are a few comps I found but, they aren't %100 accurate:

    '00 244 in NC for $12,500
2000 mariah 244 jubilee deck boat

'99 no model in CA for $19,000
    1999 Mariah Jubilee

no year 222? in AZ for $14,500
    mariah jubilee deck boat

The members who have Jubilees seem to love them. Good luck with your decision.

Hi Greg, Dredd is right on the money, do a search on the forum and you'll find many of us recommend Meguiares products (They have a kit, see below) and a buffer. A little time, a little elbow grease and you'll have that hull shinning bright
