Default Gas Leak

I have a 2003 Diablo with a 4.3 Volvo Penta drive. I am getting gas (a significant amount) coming out the water drain plug. I know I need to get it fixed before I run it again. Does anyone know where the gas tank is or has had this problem? PKent

There aren't many places to hide a fuel tank in a boat. Fuel tank is in the bottom of the boat just in front of the engine. Follow the fuel filler hose right to it. Check that the connections are tight & not leaking. Check that the tank 'vent' line hasn't come loose. Get it fixed ASAP.

Thanks for the comments. I have looked further and it is leaking at the bottom of the tank. Do you know if I have to cut the floor out or if it will come out. It looks aluminium and was wondering if a repair kit might work. I can get it welded if I can get it out. There is a shop here that fills the tanks with CO2 and then welds them. That is what I would prefer to do if I can get it out.

I'm not positive as to how Sea-Fox built their Mariah line of boats but i suspect you will have no choice but to remove the floor to get at the fuel tank.

I was wrong on my boat year. I bought it in 2003 a new boat but it is a 2001 old school Mariah.

Same answer applies. Floor will need to be removed.
