Speedo topping out at 30, I was running with my borther in law the other day and we were doing at least 35-40, any suggestions?

Sounds like some crud is likely blocking the speedo intake line near the opening on the outdrive. Take a small piece of wire & clean out the opening but you may have to disconnect the line at the speedo end & blow it out with a small air compressor.
