Default Fuel Sender Location?

hello! I have a 96 Mariah Shabah 210 with a Mercruiser 5.7 L. Quick simple question: Where the hell is my fuel tank and fuel sender??? I think my fuel sender is stuck. Took it out yesterday and the pin barely moved from full (its deffinetely not full) . I posted a picture of my interior. I believe my fuel sender wiring is fine because the needle pops up when i turn the key. I want to check the sender though! It used to bounce around a little bit (like it was floating) and now its pretty tight..

I'm not certain on your model, but for most the fuel tank is in the middle, under your carpet. My model has a round removeable cover over the fuel sender, so I would expect them to provide some access to the sender unit. Perhaps under your rear seat area? or inside the floor ski locker?

If you haven't also posted this question on the facebook page, I would post there before cutting carpet. That page is so much more active you will get a better answer than waiting here, only a handful of guys routinely view this page.

UPDATE! I found it! for people with this type mariah, there is about a 1x3 ft piece of plywood with carpet on it that folds up right in front of the engine behind the seat. Fuel sender connection was covered it gunk! cleaned it and works beautifully. check screws in carpet to see if it is screwed down.
