My daughter was trying to tell me they were closing down Chicopee today.

    I just chuckled...

Unfortunately the joke isn't really funny anymore...

seems like things are getting a little worse than originally 'predicted' by those occasionally right weathermen....

TodayDay: Becoming cloudy. Snow at times heavy beginning late this morning. Amount 5 to 10 cm. Wind becoming southwest 50 km/h gusting to 70 late this morning. High plus 1.
Night: Snow at times heavy ending this evening then cloudy with 60 percent chance of flurries. Amount 2 to 4 cm. Wind southwest 50 km/h gusting to 70 diminishing to 30 this evening. Low minus 5.

--should be lots of snow drifts by tonight / tomorrow morning

...and the analysts are saying demand is still declining.

Look on the bright side, you don't have to buy diesel...

Here goes another gas update ...

Toronto - High gas prices are here to stay, according to a new energy report from CIBC World Markets. The report said Canadians should brace for $1.40 a litre for gas this summer and over $2.25 by 2012.

CIBC World Markets chief economist, Jeff Rubin, expects hardly any increases in the world oil supply, at a little over one-million barrels in the next five years. He said combine that with the millions of people in the developing world having access to cheap cars, consumers here could end up paying top dollar to fill up.

"By 2012, there will probably be more oil consumed in what we used to call the developing world, than in the developed world," Rubin said.

He also said that sky-rocketing gas prices will ultimately force people off the road. "Oil and more specifically gasoline is going to become scarcer and scarcer, and more expensive," Rubin said.

ick ... looks like I will eventually be taking my bike (pedal) to work and not using the truck as much. But.... I would keep the Diablo!

Even with high gas prices, boating's still cheaper than psychoanalysis!!
