Saturday we were out for a late afternoon boot around the lake to the north end. As we jumped some small wake I noticed that the boat seemed to slow down and start chugging. So we were coming into a 10km/hr slow speed zone anyways and the boat was vibrating BIG TIME and I was starting to get worried. Once we left the slow zone and attempted to get on plane, it wouldnt it was struggling. Needless to say that was the end of our trip.

Managed to keep the boat going and limped along going slow and eventually got it up on plane again goin 4000rpm and only 20mph. Both are what was posted on my gauges and the rpm tach was bouncing all over.

When we got back to my uncles dock I pulled the cover... there was one of the spark plug wires loose and dangling from the spark plug. The wire actually bounced OFF the distributer cap. So once I put it back on we took it back out for a spin to make sure it was still running fine after being run for about 40mins on 3cylinders.

As far as I could tell .. it was fine and it was fine on Sunday. It was giving me some problems on restarts however. That would be another post ...
