Default Unable to switch on/off the capt's choice

I assume those of us who have capt's choice exhaust have had some issues. I've searched the forums, but couldn't find the answers to my exhause woes.

My capt's choice exhaust is either stuck in the "loud" mode, or it's somewhere in between. It doesn't sound as loud as I remembered it when I took it out for a test run prior to purchasing it. (I remember I couldn't hear my wife talking to while the "loud" mode was engaged). However, either way, nothing changes when I switch on or off.

Any thoughts on trouble shooting this? The dealer/maintenance where I purchased the boat wants me to bring it back in for evaluation. However, after they installed a new depth finder (Hummingbird...which still doesn't work) is when I started having problems with the panel that houses the switches for the capt's call, power hatch, power driver's seat, and air/sea temp. That's also the panel where my stereo unit is located...which also doesn't work after they farted around with my depth finder. (Different post about the depth finder).

Should I remove the switch panel and take a look at the wiring myself? That panel seems to get pounding by leaking rain water through my POS cover (see prior post about that). I'm not an electrical engineer or anything, but have tinkered with car stereo's in a past life. Is it complicated, or should I take it to a different boat maintenance shop? I wonder if the rain has shorted something out behind that panel?

All I want is for my damn stereo to work, hatch to lift, and the beauty of having a working capt's call exhaust. Is that too much to ask for?

Any advice is welcomed, as well as comments, sympathies, etc. Thanks.

If you're handy you could have a look. I don't know about your model, but on mine the electrical was easliy acessed. Moisture causes corrosion, bad contacts... I pulled and cleaned all the fuses and put them back in with a little dielectric grease. No problems since. In your case though, the guys putting in the depth gauge may also have caused something. I don't know if you can see the CC diverters on your model, but you should see the solenoid activate when you throw the switch.
