Default 1998 Jubilee 214

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has changed the cover on their boat so that the snaps are above the rubrail rather than below it. After a long day on the water it can be a pain to recover the boat in the marina in its current set up.

Have a good day!

Bill

I know mine has a couple sets of snaps. I will have to have a look to see.

You have snaps below the rubrail? I don't think I have ever seen that before. Is it like that all the way around?

Yes. It is a real pain to cover at the end of the day. Just wanted to check to see if anyone had changed them around and how it came out.

My 99 Jubilee has the typical dual mooring cover setup. One cockpit cover that is separate from the bow cover. If you look at my after pics in this thread, you can see where the snaps are. This setup is pretty easy to cover while the boat is still in the water.

I'm not sure how you would convert your existing full cover to this type of setup. It may be easier to get a 2nd set of covers for mooring with different snap locations. That makes for a lot of snaps on the side of the boat though.

The only covers I've seen with snaps below the rub are trailering or storage type covers. Lots of fishing boats setup this way. Only runabout I've seen like this was on my in-laws four winns. When the boat was on the trailer, it was very easy to snap it down, on the water tied at the dock... not so much.

I bet they changed the configuration in 1999. 1998 are all below the rail. Maybe someday I will change it around.

Mine breaks off at the front one way is just below the rail on the front and then also some that go out and cover my anchor deck cover. Man what a bunch of jibber jabber, funny thing is someone will understand it . The perfect place of a picture being worth a 1000 words. I am going to attempt to get out this weekend, if I remember I will post some pics. after a clean up.
