Default best towing vehicle?

Hello Boaters,
I have a 2 wd
2009 f250 gas truck
And I've had problems bringing my Z275 out the water and up the ramp.
Rear tires keep spinning .
Anybody have any suggestions.
Thanks from Houston Texas

Good advice! 4wd helps when the ramp is wet too. How do you end up getting up the ramp?

It's happened twice and both times good people lend a 4x4 truck to pull me out .
kind of like the TV commercial
Truck pulling out the truck with boat on it.

I hate to say it , but with your Z275 , I think you are going to need a 4x rig no matter gas or diesel powered.
Some ramps are just way to steep without 4WD. And some of that mud you guys got down there.......... there ain't no way I'd have anything but a 4X4 rig
Either that , or a diesel 2WD rig with some weight in the back maybe.

Bet that was a sight! Maybe throw some weight in the bed until you can upgrade the truck. Just a thought.

This is a problem we here in the UK have to deal with as we don't have the same choice of big trucks like you guys do.
A common practice over here with 2 wheel drive pickups is a water tank on the bed.
Comes in handy for washing down and flushing too.
Once recovered and ready for home, just pull the bung and you don't have all the extra weight to pull.

Only thing I'd recommend is don't get your drive tires wet while loading and look into a locker. That's probably the most affordable fix. My 2¢
