Hi all,

I just wanted to share my opinion on Shelby Industries. My trailer came equipped with a Shelby Jack, and Winch. About 4 weeks ago my winch started to strip gears, and chew up the pawl (the little metal directional tab). I emailed Shelby to see if I could get these parts.. and they said yes!!!

The service was great and I dealt with Amy Carrol, she was extremely nice and helped me find the parts I needed (which were not on the website). If your trailer is equipped with any Shelby products, they were and still are AMERICAN made. I highly suggest anyone needing rebuild parts for their jack/winch, contact them before buying a new unit, especially a Chinese unit from Ebay. It saved me A LOT of money. The pawl and gears (the 3 small gears that the pawl engages into) were very cheap.I actually bought two sets to put with my boat supplies in case they ever wear out in the future. They also sell a plastic cover which snaps over the winch and updated the looks while protecting it.

They seem like a great American company, and i'm thankful they are still in business. They've had to diversify their product line as many of their large customers (such as Prestige) have went out of business. Good luck to them, as I hope they are able to continue making and supplying AMERICAN MADE products.
