I have an issue with my 2007 SX19. I had it winterized and pulled the battery for the winter. When I hooked the battery back up a few weeks ago, I smelled plastic burning and saw smoke coming from around the coil area. I quickly unhooked the battery and took it to my boat guy to be de-winterized and to figure out what melted and why. He can't seem to figure out what the melted wire goes to and I am trying to find a wiring diagram. He says that he traced it to the dash area (yellow wire) but can't tell where it goes for sure. He doesn't have a wiring diagram and the only one I could find on here, goes through 2001. I have a call into SeaFox to see if they can help, but if anyone here has a wiring diagram, it would be greatly appreciated.

You're sure you hooked the positive wire to the positive battery terminal and the same for the negatives. right?

I don't have a wiring diagram but I have a 2007 SX19 with the 3.0L Mercruiser. Let me know if you still need help.

I need the same diagram. Boat starts well if cold but after driving a few minutes wont start unless it sits for a while (30 min). Recently beeper (like when starting the engine) started beeping while going down the lake then boat cutoff...at a lss..any ideas? Also need picture of battery hookup on SX 19 2007

Is your engine carburated or EFI? If carburated, it sounds like the wire you fried controls the electric choke coil. That would explain why the boat starts when cold but not when warm.

Hello sir, I have the same problem I disconnected the batteries and now I don't know where the two yellow cables with the plastic shielding around are hooked up to? ypur diagram my be helpful , I have the same boat as you but with a 4.3 Mercruiser engine.

What motor do you have in there? I have a Sea Fox/Mariah SC21 with a 4.3. I dont have a wire diagram but if you give me a heads up I can get some photos for you if that will help.

Primarily the yellow is a negative hook up. But someone may chime in, this is just what ive seen, black/yellow to negative terminal. May be different on your boat.

Did you trace it out dave? Seems like something is causing resistance, last weekend i had my ignition module puke, and a fuse blew, access to the fuse panel was through the back of the starboard seat in the bow. I noticed a bit of corrosion in the fuse housing, so i cleaned it all well. Normally a yellow wire in boats is negative but i haven't seen a Mariah diagram myself,

Maybe start digging around under the counsel and with a buddy trace that wire out. If you havent fixed it already im going to the lake tonight, i will check where mine goes and let you know. Sometimes it's an easy fix!
