Angry Auto bilge pump flattened battery

Hi all,
The Auto bilge pump flattened my battery in my 2008 SX18 in 6 weeks of not being run. My Mariah dealer assured me it would take at least 6 months? I saw a forum a couple of months back (yes I know I have been slack) about fitting an in-line switch so it can be turned off when not in use. Doe's anybody know what it was called, I had a brief look (at work) and couldn't find it. Anyway Hi to all and I will be grateful for any help. Thanks Mayal

Thumbs up Thanks for the help

    Hi Wetwilly,
Thanks for the reply that was what I was looking for. Do you know if anyone has fitted an in-line switch to the main power line of the bilge pump? Dave maybe? Happy boating

As it happens, I didn't get around to fitting the switch, instead I just operated the pump manually. BUT I am not really happy about doing that, so this year I will fit one and post photos.

    Hi,
It is time to get the boats back into water in the Balkans. In my SX18 the automatic bilge pump stopped working, it only comes on when operated from the dash. I will check the fuse shown here Wiring Diagram however a wiring diagram would be just fine if this does not solve the problem. I could not find one in the manuals section. Could somebody please send or post one please? I would not like to find my boat under water after a week of heavy rain!

    Thanks in advance,

    Kocka

I would check the blade fuse carefully the tabs each side corrode very easily, and therefore so does its socket. I think this inline fuse ( by the main Master rotating switch) is directly connected to the bilge pump, so check the pump ground and then the pump.
