Anyone checked out this new model on the Mariah site? Looks extremely cookie cutter to me, maybe they are trying to compete with Bayliner. Can't imagine there was a ton of demand for another 18' model in their line up.

Here's a promo piece on it...

I'm not going to say it's a bad looking boat, but definitely simplistic. It'll be interesting to see how it works out for them!

I personally think it looks a bit "retro" to me. The short stumpy-ish windshield is what i think makes it appear that way to me.

The flip up lawn chair feature is kind of neat however.

Also appears to be a very deep set hull design.

Gauges appear to be a bit lacking in.. well.. amount of gauges to monitor? Unless there is something im missing from that photo.

Would I like to check one out up close, absolutely.

Yeah I dont know about the look of it.. but however I LOVE the removable cooler idea.. cause in the height of summer it gets sticky hot on the boat .. and that would be great for having drinks on the boat instead of having an extra cooler stowed under the stern seats.

and of course we all know that Friends dont let friends drive Gayliners... errr I mean Bayliners.....

I have to agree, the yellow RX181 in the promotional material is ugly. Good thing I did not see this before I bought a black one as it looks much different.
The three gauges have most functions, left is water temp, oil pressure, volts and gas, middle is speed and trim, right is RPM and engine hours.
Good performance with 4.3L, 50mph. All in all I'm very happy with the boat.
