Hey DMK,

You are going to get that sway no matter what boat you are driving unless it's an inboard ski boat. When the rope is hooked to the back of the boat and you have a guy cutting hard back there it puts a lot of strain on the very back tip of the boat.

If you look at a Nautique or Mastercraft they have a ski pylon mounted up towards the driver and tracking fins (usually 3) mounted to the bottom of the boat to hold it straight.

I had a ski boat, and it you skied off the pylon you didn't even know they were back there. Even if you hook the rope up to the very back of a Mastercraft you will still feel that pull side to side.

Damaged prop at Lake Mohave had to go to the marina at Katherines Landing to purchase a new prop. The guys at the marina were trying to talk me in to a 23 pitch 3 blade(Been there done that..)
(also, I was educated from Mariah Owners Club site). I decided to go with a 19 pitch 3blade WoW !!! a 4 blade was not an option. Never had great acceleration with the 23. Cruising at 40 mph I now hit the throttle with 5 people in the boat and tada acceleration I’m amazed at the 19 pitch. With the 23 pitch we left the marina with 5 people ice chest chairs food tools etc.. we were “Loaded” Tried to plane What seemed like 5 min was more like 1 ½ maybe longer it wasn’t good, no acceleration what so ever. Broke the 23 pitch ,purchased the 19 pitch for $130 and was happy to pay. Re-launched the boat went to plane, it took seconds to plane it was the first time I felt the bow being pushed down. Tube and cruised around for the next three days and Im loving the new prop. I was not looking for top speed when I selected the 19. I do not know what my top speed is yet water was rough.
