need to replace a damaged prop on my 1997 Talari 209 can not find markings on old prop what was original equipment prop on my boat need to know diameter & pitch she has a 5.7LX Alpha 1

It would help considerably to know what prop is on the boat now. The stamped markings should be on the inside of the prop hub. They're usually marked as either a size (ie 14.25 x 19) or a model #.

There is really no such thing as "original equipment" with props. Props were usually supplied by the original vendor depending on what usage was planned for the boat. I would suspect yours was supplied with either a 19" or a 21" pitch 3 blade prop. A 19" would give lots of low end & mid range grunt while sacrificing a bit off the top end. The 21" would give decent mid range with a higher top speed but will sacrifice the low end. A 20" 4 blade would split the difference.

Thanks for the info it is helpful and I will look again to see if I can find any #s or marking on the inside of the hub
