Hi jgreen,
They call it "indexing" the props. I remember reading somewhere that with the Bravo IIIs, you no longer need to index the props but if you what to do it, then this is how it's done:
Install the front prop so the middle of one blade is pointing up in the 12 o'clock position and then install the rear prop with the middle of one blade pointing at the 6 o'clock position. From the rear, you should be able to see all six blades.
12 and 6 o'clock, sort of like this:

If installed correctly, none of the front blades or rear blades should ever meet together at the 12 o'clock position otherwise it has been said this can cause cavitation or vibrations through the outdrive.
Don't forget to lube the shafts and prop splines and thrust washers before reinstalling the props.
