Default Changing lounge to bucket seat

I have changed out my lounge seat to a bucket seat with flip up bolster. The project is not hard, the most critical part is getting the seat in the right position so it will swivel around without hitting anything. The post and swivel are Springfield 2-7/8", the post is 7" and the swival is the elite series which has 6" fore and aft travel and the swivel is built into the unit instead of swiveling on the post The post is screwed into the deck which has a metal plate backing installed at the factory already there with 3" stainless lag screws. I ordered the seat before the post so I could determine the height for us before getting the post. It is a little higher than the stock seat, which was really to low, and the bolster gets you up high for docking ect. and gives you room to stand if you want.

The seats were purchased from Veada, you can request color samples from them or you can do like I did and send them your color samples and they will send you what they have that matches. I ordered the Springfield post and slide/swivel from Cascade Depot.

I went the same route only i was lucky enough to find an original Mariah seat that needed recovering. I used Cascade Depot also & had no problems. If you need a contact at Springfield for specific pedestal & spider unit questions, i used a very helpful Ken Carnaghan who can be reached at [email protected] or 417-725-2667 ext.220.
