What sort of upgrade? The only other options are replacing with another similar shifter mechanism, or going with something like a Kiekhaefer/Mercury Zero Effort control.

Mariah offered these on the later model "performance" boats like the Z250, Z272, Z300 and Z302s. I had it on my Z250, and it was pretty nice, but required some getting used to. If you wanted to do something like this, it would involve some heavy customization, building a new fiberglass base/mount, re-running all new cables, etc. My advice is, if you really want something like this, keep it in the back of your head, and when it comes time to upgrade, look for it on your next Mariah!

I like the 3000 but it just continues to break. I have put new trim switch, new trailer switch, new throttle only button etc. I would really like something similar in a side mount.
