Ok so I finally plucked up the courage to fly my phantom from my boat.
Here's a short video of the results.
Remember this is the first time I've done this, little steps!

Holy cow you are a brave man! What setup do you have? I would love to get a drone for myself and have heard good things about Phantom. I would use it for farming mostly. I already have a GoPro.

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing! One of these days I'd love to get one to mess around with, and I've heard the DJI Phantom is one of the best. Do you have any sort of flotation device for it? Any issues with returning it to your boat? (besides the ever present fear of losing it?)

Thanks for the compliments. The only change I made over any other flight was I reduced my flight timer from 10 minutes to 6. I'm not going to get cocky and say it was easy....lol
I will say that the take off was the worst part!
Having the stones to commit to a take off and push the stick.
Once it was hovering then it was just a case of not doing anything stupid.....
I bought the thing to do just this, so at some point I had to do it.
