All boats have flaws

IMO,

All boats no matter what the manufacturer or model have design and build flaws. You just have to know what to look for. ;)

Just go to some boat shows and look at the corners cut and the odd designs from motor mount designs to rub rail installs. :shakehead:

It is not just limited to low price boats but also the higher priced models. Over time and numerous summers, without constant care from the engine to the gel coat, all boats will look like crap.

I have been in some high priced new boats over the years were I could hear the floor cracking under my feet.:eek_animated:

All boats currently are way overpriced and not worth the prices so just buy used.:wink_thumbup:

Hi everyone, here's the pix I promised of my limited editions problem areas. 79 & 80 show where I had to enlarge cutouts to seat the switches fully on both ends, 95 is lower hull damage, 97 is damage at ladder, 91 is dr side dash inside repair w 86 showing the outside of that corner, 81-83 show dr side lower panel where switche spade lugs are against rear fg panel w rear panel blocking 12volt outlet which was broken and thrown over panel w wires still attached, 84 shows window brace after bend at glass frame and redrilling hole at lower front hole up about 3/8", 85 shows after drilling hole, 75 shows the large gap between outer panel and green hull. I tried sending only a few of the pix, want more info please contact me.:wink_thumbup:

Re: Hatch Motor

You know what it boils down to norri...........you bought a 14 yr old boat!!
They all need work. It ain't a Carver , it ain't some custom hand built boat. It doesn't have a 100,000 mile warranty!
It's a factory production boat.
If it's such "Lemon" that you say it is , I , for one , would be more than happy to relieve you of your burden (for a less than market price , since it is so flawed).

Fix it or sell it:)

Enough said:shakehead:

Ur right Larry it is 14 yrs old and has no hours on it and has been in storage since 2003, I was just trying to point out a few of the poor construction areas, except for the hull damage all were from factory 4 sure. I have and will fix as much as I can.:wink_thumbup:
