Default 1993 Mariah

I am curious to get opinions on this ad. Didn't know they made a 190hp in 1993.

If it's the 2 barrel carb, it would be 175HP at the crankshaft and 155HP at the prop. If it's the 4 barrel carb, it'd be 205HP at the crankshaft and 175HP at the prop.

Or, they could have replaced the engine with a newer model, which could indeed be 190HP.

Either way, it'll be a good boat. I'd pull the whale tail off immediately, and definitely get the skeg fixed, that's looking a little rough...

Yep, first thing i would do is get rid of that stupid hydrofoil and install a pair of Smart Tabs. If you're gonna leave the hydrofoil in place, buy a pair of Mickey Mouse ears too....

Other than that, it looks good.

Good info. I'm going to look at it in person today.I'll be able to take a look at the carb then. If I get it, this will be my first Mariah. Thanks again for the information on the carb.

I don't trust Craigslist pictures. I went to look at a 99 Z250 and it looked amazing. I drove 4 1/2 hrs one way with cash in hand. When I got there it was like someone switched the boat with another one. A little dock rash turned into holes down to the tigerhair in the fiberglass. The seats were disgusting and they were messing with the electrical trying to get it started. What a POS. He wanted 13k for it. I couldn't have given him 8k for it. He said the trailer needed a little tuning on the brakes. The drums were rusted right through. You could see the rims through the holes. The belts on the tires were showing. But he considered it road ready. He then told me the pictures were from the previous year. I couldn't imagine letting a beautiful boat gol like that.

I've also found a lot of people use the original pictures from when they bought the boat.

Went and looked at the boat. It has one seat that needs a little repair and a little dock rash. The skeg needs a little work and the prop is trash. Everything else was in scary good condition. Everything on the engine and drive checked out, so she is now mine. Looking forward to getting on the water again.
