Hello all,

I just joined the club!!
I am looking at purchasing a 1993 Mariah 2200Z with a 5.0L engine. It hasn't been in the water since 2007. It appears to be in great condition and has been stored indoors over the winter months here in Wisconsin.

Any input on this boat or what to do to get it ready to go out yet this summer would be appreciated.

Hi Tom and welcome to the club!

Since it hasn't been in the water for a few years, I recommend having the I/O serviced by a qualified Merc or Volvo mechanic (which ever I/O you have) to insure everything is in good operational condition (oils changed, motor tuned, bellows/hoses/cables/gimbal bearing/U-joints/gimbal pivots/steering checked and lubed as well as replacing the water pump impeller). Don't forget to check the electrical systems to make sure they're working too.
