Default removing fuel gauge?

Im doing the fix on my jittery fuel gauge and was wondering how i could access the wiring on the rear of the gauge....

    Should be able to lay on your back underneath the steering wheel and see the gauges. Might have a panel , I remember one of the members trying to access the gauge area awhile back , and had a hard time finding the screws , if I remember right.
    I'd try doing the conversion with the gauge in place if possible.
    Hopefully another member with a Davanti will chime in with some better instructions for you lumber.
