Jim, your're right.

I would have never picked that color as it looks like a Jade Green to me. The problem with our boat color is it goes from blue to green depending the lighting.

I believe you on the match and thanks for the assist. Would love to see a photo with with the cover on the boat sometime.

In fact: When we were buying the boat, but before we had her, I was insisting the boat was one colour, and The Admiral was insisting she was another. Turned out we were both wrong, however, she conceded I was closer. (She thought blue. I thought turquoise.)

We bought a Sharkskin trailering cover in blue, and it simply does not look good on the boat. The "green" Sunbrella fabric of the mooring cover does, however. The odd thing is: The boat's colour looks to be closer to the blue end than the green, in most light. *shrug*

I'll see if I can find a good picture, tho it's been my experience photos lie.

Btw: The good news is the blue/green colour of the upholstery can be matched so closely that only you would know the difference--and even then only when the light's right.

Those two images illustrate well how changes in lighting change the perception of our boats' colour.

As an aside: Boy are we ever pleased with the job the canvas guy did on that set of mooring covers

That last is a poor comparison, because, since the neighbours took out their trees, I can't get the same light. And this is a case where the camera lies. It's not doing justice to the mismatch, IMO. But look at what you can see of the boat's hull, and I think you'll see it.

Plus: That Sharkskin material has faded a bit. It clashed worse when it was new.

I suspect the reason that a green-dominant colour works better than blue is blue-on-blue has to be either an exact match or just the right shades, whereas green-on-green is a bit more forgiving.

Looks really good, Jim. So it looks like rajjneef's turquoise or your persian green might be the ticket.

I found a place on ebay that has a Persian Green top for $128 including frame, back supports and boot. The brand is Four Seasons and they've been making them since 1957.

6 foot canvas, 46" high and 73" to 78" width.

Like I said, mine was a perfect match for the factory cover I had with the boat. Sunbrella will send you samples if you call them. That way you can feel good about it. I did not want a generic color which didn't match up to mine. I had to pay a small upcharge when I bought the bimini as they didn't stock that color, but it was minimal and worth it. Good luck!
