Matching my color for a Bimini top.
I'm contemplating buying a bimini top for my 95 Talari 180. The boat color is Bimini and the closest color that I could see was Teal or maybe Pacific Blue. The lettering on my boat is Teal and it's not off very much.
Any suggestions? I thought about being safe and going with white, but I would prefer to have color if I can get it close. |

I had a z212 once that I purchased a bimini for. Sunbrella sent me some samples but I cant recall what the color was actually called. Contact them for samples.

And the color may have faded just a bit over the years. I would personally go with black or a color that is close to your boat color.

Can't go wrong with white, plus it will reflect more heat.

I seem to remember the match for Bimini being listed as Turquoise from Sunbrella. It looked right as opposed to anything else which would have looked generic on the boat.

Not a good photo but for reference.

Is that the Turquoise? Looks pretty close to me.

Yes, i'm almost positive turquoise was the color. It was an exact color match to the factory cover I had with that boat.

Paul F, the colour of your '95 Talari looks to be the same as our '94 Barchetta. We had the same issue when we had mooring covers made. And that's even worse, because they're right on the hull of the boat. There's isn't a Sunbrella match, but there's one that, in the right light, sometimes looks kinda almost close :)
I just looked it up in Shazaam!'s file. What we chose was Sunbrella 6043. I know it looks very green, but the Sunbrella stuff that's more blue was, in our opinions and that of our canvas guy, an even worse match. We were pleased with the results, and have received many compliments. Jim |
