They probably do it all the time , but boy it looks shakey to me. I can just see opening the door and rubbed thru gelcoat everywhere , or the outdrive rippd from transom.
Do they not have oversize containers for larger items?

I suspect that they would have to ship it via an open low-boy trailer /oversize load to whatever port they operate from then sling it onto the deck of a cargo ship as seen in some of Chris' pics. You would think that they have a system to handle boats of this size w/out damaging them because of the potential claims and liability insurance costs. Of course.....screw ups do happen.

The thing is there are plenty of big American boats over here,
and back in the day if you had the cash I’m sure Mariah would have sold me one.
So there must be an affordable way to ship something as large as a 30' boat from the states

That one photo shows about 12-15 large boats on the deck and depending on the design of the boat, there may be a few more in the cargo hold which would make it economical to ship boats over the pond.
